Abstract

The use of smartphone technology in the world of da'wah is not only limited for personal communication, but also for information dissemination services. Therefore it is necessary to design a preacher information system in order to help preacher’s schedule management at the mosques. This research type is an action research method, which consists of several stages of activities, namely data collection (document collection, observation, interviews and questionnaires), designing proposed application model, creating database as well as the mobile application interfaces. The result shows that this preacher information system can be accessed under android mobile phone platforms with various information services. Available information including mosques description as the place of da'wah, preacher’s profiles, preacher’s activities and lecture topic, as well as information for preachers. Therefore, this application helps ummah to find information about preacher schedule among mosques easily and help them to decide which lecture to be attended.
