Abstract

In the field of health, a system is needed to solve the problems that are usually done by medical personnel, and later can make decisions quickly. Common diseases that occur in the community, namely teeth and mouth. Dental and oral health can affect overall body health. This study aims to design and implement certainty factor methods of expert systems in diagnosing dental and oral diseases in humans. In this study data collection was obtained through observation, interviews and literature. The results of this study are the system is able to assist patients in diagnosing dental and oral diseases according to the symptoms experienced and provide the right solution or treatment. Based on the results of the discussion and testing with a trial of 10 conditions data, resulting in a match level of 8 conditions data from expert and system diagnostic results. So that the accuracy rate is 80% of 28 symptoms and 10 diseases. And the highest value for 10 cases was obtained CF value 0.8 with the type of media caries and deep caries.
